Choosing the best printer when your office has a high volume printing requirement is not always a straight-forward decision. There are lots of excellent printers to choose, and then there are a number of other key factors to consider before you can feel sure you’re making the right choice to fit the current and medium-term needs of your office(s).

The best-fit printer for your business will likely be a laser printer, or potentially LED, and you may wish to consider whether a multifunction printer (to include photocopier, scanner capabilities and more) or single-function model if you don’t feel paying extra for unlikely-to-use features are pushing up the price! You decision should of course depend on a number of additional consdierations, including the number of users and the IT proficiency of those people (if they need straight-forward instructions, make sure you choose a user-friendly system control panel or touch screen), for what will they be using the printer (standard black and white invoices or tri-colour brochures for example!), the expected printing volumes and whether seriously high-quality colour prints or printing on a variety of paper textures, dimensions and thicknesses are are essential capabilities.

So how do you decide which technology and function level are best for your business? Well, it never hurts to lean on an expert, so we’re here to help! Consider one of our top six choices of printers for high volume printing...

For today’s typical business office, laser printers tend to offer greater print volume capabilities because they produce the best text print quality, have greater paper capacity, lower running costs, and (almost always) higher speeds. In recent years, manufacturers have brought prices down considerably and photo print output has improved dramatically over the past 2-3 years.

In the constant quest for greater printing efficiencies in today’s offices, printer technology has advanced to make sure we can produce high-quality print slides for a client presentation, contracts for that new deal and even that email scanned documents from the board of directors at lightning speeds. In other words: we still need to print, and these seven new models fall into a variety of price points and speeds, but all with impressive high volume printer capabilities. Demand for networked color laser printers continues to grow. They offer high-resolution, crisp text, and vivid colors, and are playing a greater role in businesses than ever before.
